Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
